The Good: Again, there wasn't a lot to shout about at the UK version of No Mercy, but then there usually wasn't when WWE presented a PPV in the UK. It seemed like some kind of cruel rib to give us a poorer show. A lot of the guys were blatantly phoning it in. Shane McMahon and X-Pac had the best match of the night. Although it was very similar to their WrestleMania effort, it was still heated and action-packed. Although it was another typical Austin era main event, Stone Cold versus Triple H versus The Undertaker was good overbooked fun. The Bad: Too many throwaway matches, as usual. Tori was pinned by the feakish Nicole Bass, filling in for Sable, in less than thirty seconds after Sable revealed she had a chest cold and couldn't wrestle. Kane versus Mideon, Tiger Ali Singh versus Gillberg and Droz versus Steve Blackman were all awful and/or boring. The Rest: The company aired a vignette for Harry Beaver Cleavage, one of the most ill-conceived characters in company history, during the show. In a sign that the company was serious about pushing him, Billy Gunn went over Mankind. Incredible.
