WWE: 20 Best Moments in WWE Raw History

1. Austin Takes On The Entire Alliance Himself

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V-rCP-UeeY I could have filled this list with Steve Austin, as he was almost single handedly the most entertaining thing on Raw during the €œAttitude€ era. This one though, has always been my favourite. During the WCW/ECW invasion in 2001, the WWF were on the ropes and Austin was supposedly doubting himself. Ahead of the €œInvasion,€ Pay Per View, Vince McMahon begged that he needed the OLD Stone Cold to return and save the WWF from its impending destruction. On this night on Raw, Austin left the arena and instead went to watch it in a bar somewhere while playing pool. Cameras cut back and forth to Austin growing gradually more and more frustrated with what he was seeing on TV, and getting increasingly conflicted about what to do. Then, in one of the cheesiest moments in Raw history, Classy Freddie Blassie led a rallying speech which inspired the WWF troops in the locker room. Meanwhile in the local bar, Austin slammed down his pool cue and stormed out. In the main event of the evening, the WCW/ECW Alliance interrupted a match and were destroying Team WWF. Cameras moved backstage to show that brawls were happening all over the arena, and as they entered the parking lot, up pulled Stone Cold in his truck and he beat his way to the ring. The Alliance were all over Team WWF with the crowd buzzing in anticipation and finally. SMASH! Austin€™s music hit and he made one of my favourite entrances of all time. He climbed in the ring and smashed through EVERYONE by himself, throwing right hands and Stunners around to anyone who got in his way. JR€™s commentary through the whole thing added so much to the moment, screaming €œBY GAWD HES WALKING! HES TALKING!€ like someone who had no idea wrestling was staged. It was one of the moment€™s that required a suspension of disbelief as every alliance member almost lined up for their turn to take a Stunner. Still a great moment of buildup for the next show and in my opinion the best moment of the whole Invasion storyline.
