WWE: 20 Best PPVs Of All Time

10. Extreme Rules 2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7T2MzuKnBo Highlights: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan It's one of my favorite WWE shows for the last few years, the 2012 PPV of the year: Extreme Rules. The show was carried by two WrestleMania rematches (Punk vs. Jericho and Sheamus vs. Bryan) and Brock Lesnar's return to WWE after eight years away. The Lesnar/Cena match was an Extreme Rules match, which meant that anything goes. Lesnar busted Cena open early and he dominated the majority of the match. There was a huge spot late in the match where he knocked Cena off the apron with a flying knee and Lesnar went crashing to the floor. It looked like a serious injury, but he kept on going. Cena ended up winning after a chain shot to the head. Sheamus had an awesome 20 minute 2/3 falls match against Daniel Bryan that Sheamus won. It's what their WrestleMania 28 match should have been. It also proved that Bryan belonged as a top guy. CM Punk's rivalry with Chris Jericho was good. Punk won the big matches in that feud and kept the WWE Title after a Street Fight. It was different than their WrestleMania match, which was more traditional. I thought that this was the better match of the two. The undercard was strong with Randy Orton going over Kane and even the finish to Cody Rhodes over Big Show was creative too as Big Show stepped through a table to lose their match. This was another great WWE PPV from Chicago. There will be more to come.
