WWE: 20 Best PPVs Of All Time

9. No Way Out 2001

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R12CZHHaI4I Highlights: Triple H vs. Steve Austin (2/3 Falls), The Rock vs. Kurt Angle, Jericho vs. Benoit vs. X-Pac vs. Guerrero and Trish Stratus vs. Stephanie McMahon The WWE product was at its absolute best in the year 2000 and the early part of 2001. This show took place in February 2001 from Las Vegas, which was the last show before WrestleMania 17 that year. Best match on this show was the incredible 3 Stages of Hell match between Triple H and Steve Austin. They went all out for 40 minutes in a match that had a regular fall that Austin won, a Street Fight that Triple H won and a Steel Cage match that Triple H won to win the match. It was not a dominant win. It was a double KO spot with weapons to end it all. They put on an absolute classic battle that was unforgettable. It's one of my top ten favorite matches ever. Kurt Angle and The Rock always had great matches together. This was no different. Angle was the WWE Champion that gave everything he had, but Rock found a way to leave as the champion. I'll never forget when Angle had Rock in the Ankle Lock and was swearing at him to tap out. Intense Kurt Angle is the best. Other memorable matches include the four way match for the Intercontinental Title. It was fast paced and exciting. The other match that people remember was between Trish Stratus and Stephanie McMahon. It wasn't expected to be very good, but they found a way to make it a lot of fun. I'm still shocked at how good it was. This PPV is forgotten sometimes because of the one that came after it, but it stands on its own as a special show that was great from start to finish.
