6. SummerSlam 2013
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md6Weuf4dss Highlights: Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena, Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian The WWE product had a lot of ups and downs in 2013, but their biggest up was at SummerSlam in Los Angeles. It was the PPV of the year last year and it also featured my match of the year. Which one? That's the beauty of SummerSlam 2013. The Lesnar/Punk and Bryan/Cena matches were both match of the year contenders. Any time you get that on the same show it's going to be one of the best PPVs ever. The Lesnar/Punk match was the one I enjoyed the most. Classic bully heel in Lesnar overpowering the fighting underdog babyface Punk and doing all he can to keep him down while Punk's former best friend Paul Heyman looked on at ringside. It was an awesome 25 minute match that lived up to the enormous hype that surrounded it. When Daniel Bryan wrestled John Cena for the WWE Title, we knew Cena likely wasn't going to win. He had a torn triceps that needed surgery, so this was his last match for a while. Bryan did win, after 25 minutes of great action. Bryan deserves credit for being the best worker alive, but Cena going all out for 25 minutes with a torn triceps shows just how tough of a guy he is. The fun ended quickly when Triple H turned heel by giving Bryan a Pedigree and Randy Orton also turned heel when he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase to take the title from Bryan. The stuff that happened from there until now hasn't been great, but at SummerSlam it was all working. It was a very memorable end to an unforgettable night. Other matches included a very good Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian contest for the World Tilte, a solid Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes match and Bray Wyatt destroying Kane with help from the Wyatt Family. Best PPV of 2013. One of the best ever too.
