WWE: 20 Best PPVs Of All Time

2. WrestleMania 19 (2003)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3PCVw2mpYw Highlights: Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle, The Rock vs. Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon. In terms of star power, I don't think any WWE show can really touch WrestleMania 19. These are some of the huge names that were in action: Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, Big Show, Trish Stratus, Eddie Guerrero, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Ric Flair, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, The Rock, Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle. Flair was managing while every other one of those people were in matches. Guys like RVD and Kane were stuck on the pre-show. It was one of the most stacked lineups in WWE history, which is why it comes in at the #2 PPV of all time. There were memorable moments throughout the night. Some bullet points to cover them: - Brock Lesnar beat Kurt Angle in 22 minutes in Lesnar's first WrestleMania match. Angle went into the match with a serious neck injury. Somehow he made it through without suffering further injury. Lesnar also avoided injury after missing a Shooting Star Press that saw him land on his head. How he survived that without any injury I'll never know. The man is a freak. It's one of the best matches in WrestleMania history. - Steve Austin wrestled his last match ever against The Rock. It was also the third match in their WrestleMania trilogy with Rock finally getting his win. We didn't know it was Austin's last match at the time. If we did, it would have been even more emotional. Like usual, they had a great match that was one of the best in their series of matches. - Shawn Michaels made his WrestleMania return after 5 years away from the event. He had an outstanding match with Chris Jericho, who was great as the heel leading up to the match against his idol, that went 24 minutes. The finish with Michaels beating Jericho with a cradle instead of the superkick was cool because it was a nice surprise. - Hulk Hogan beating Vince McMahon was a dream match for a lot of people. They built it up by asking fans who they thought made WWE into the company it was. For a couple of older guys who couldn't move that well, they had an entertaining bloodbath that went 21 minutes and ended with Hogan as the winner. - Triple H didn't put Booker T over for the World Title. Most thought he would. Good match, but I can remember thinking it would be better and also remember people online really hating Triple H by this point. What else is new?! - Undertaker went to 11-0 at WrestleMania even though he had Nathan Jones on his team. Jones sucked so much that he only showed up at the end of the match. They couldn't get Flair into a match, but Nathan Jones was in one? Who came up with that genius idea? They can't all be great ideas, people. Everything else was pretty good including the tag title match, the divas match and the cruiserweight match too. The Miller Lite girls segment wasn't great, but at least they were nice to look at. WrestleMania 19 was a fantastic show with a loaded card from top to bottom with a heavy dose of star power and great booking throughout. It's the second best WWE PPV ever.
