WWE: 20 Changes That MUST Happen On The Road From WrestleMania 30
4. Resolve The CM Punk Situation
CM Punk is desperately needed in the current shallow WWE roster. His absence was notable at WrestleMania 30, and continues to be a thorn in the side of the WWE Creative Team. He is talented in the ring and on the microphone and has left a hole in the WWE that few, if anybody, can currently fill. Of course the WWE can work without him, but as one of their major main event talents, it would be clumsy and stubborn to isolate Punk from making his return to the ring. Change in the way the WWE deals with and manages its talent, particularly after such talent works so hard throughout the calendar year, is something that was needed decades ago and still needs review. If the reports are true in suggesting that Punk is unhappy about the direction of the WWE creatively such as his WrestleMania booking, then perhaps as already discussed, the WWE should at least listen to Punk's suggestions, after all some of the greatest storylines and creative genius ever devised by the WWE started as the brainchild of wrestlers themselves. An example would be the concept of D-Generation X being created and masterminded by none other than Shawn Michaels and Triple H! Whatever the reason as to Punk's 'sabbatical' as Vince McMahon recently remarked, the WWE must look to change and thaw its cold relations with Punk and broker a deal for his return. After all its list of main event talent remains noticeably thin.
