5. Fabulous Freebirds (WCCW, NWA, AWA, WWF)
The Fabulous Freebirds is the greatest 3 man faction in wrestling history. These guys were the epitome of cool. The first group to come out to theme music, The Freebirds really started it all. Michael P.S. Hayes was the leader and mouthpiece of the group, he was so charismatic you couldn't help but love him. There most notable feuds came against the legendary Von Erich Family, as well as The Road Warriors. The group was together for over 15 years. I mean that's just unheard of. These guys were innovators in every sense of the word. There wasn't a hotter group in the 80's than The Freebirds, as they bounced around from different territories and promotions showcasing their talents. They held over 28 titles as a group, which is mind boggling in itself. The Fabulous Freebirds will go down as one of the greatest stables in wrestling history. I'm just bummed that I didn't get to see them live.
