WWE 2002 PPVs From Worst To Best

2. Survivor Series

The Good: Survivor Series 2002 was a strange show. The action was really good, for the most part, but some of the booking decisions were baffling. Big Show and Shawn Michaels as World Champions? What is this, 1996? Michaels won the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the first ever Elimination Chamber match (also featuring RVD, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Kane and Triple H). While it was good, it wasn't the best match of the show. That honour went to the Los Guerreros versus Benoit & Angle versus Edge and Mysterio match. Also worth seeking out at Trish Stratus versus Victoria in a Women's Championship hardcore match and Jamie Noble versus Billy Kidman. One of the true highlights of the show was Scott Steiner's WWE debut. The Genetic Freak pounded Chris Nowinski and Matt Hardy like jobbers before demanding that somebody give him a 'f***ing mic!'. The Bad: Brock Lesnar and Big Show were only allocated five minutes because Lesnar was working with a broken rib (and other injuries). Lesnar first WWE Title reign ended in very disappointing fashion indeed. The Rest: The opening six man tables match (3 Minute Warning & Rico versus Jeff, Spike and Bubba Dudley) features one of the funniest botches you'll ever see on a WWE event: Jeff was supposed to thwart a Rico moonsault attempt but missed his cue, leaving the fashion consultant stranded for an eternity. 'Come on Jeff, godammit!'
