The Good: Hulk Hogan had a really decent match with an on-fire Kurt Angle. The Olympic gold medalist had a fantastic year in the squared circle and dragged Hogan to his best match in a long time. Also good were Chris Jericho's KOTR tournament match with a motivated Rob Van Dam and Eddie Guerrero's match with Ric Flair. The Bad: Once again, Triple H and The Undertaker had an absolute clanger of a main event. Lasting an interminable 24 minutes, this one is quite shocking to look back on. Neither guy is anywhere near their best and they seem to just be plodding along and going through the motions. Making Lesnar the King of the Ring was the right move, in retrospect, but at the time there were serious question marks over his WWE future: he wasn't translating as well as WWE had hoped he would and his ring work still had a way to go. Luckily. it would come pretty soon. Jamie Noble versus The Hurricane and Molly Holly versus Trish Stratus were OK but clearly filler. The Rest: Chris Jericho, upset with some reviews of his match with RVD, took to his website and launched a scathing attack at 'internet smarks' after the show. He claimed that he and RVD put on one of the best matches of the year and that anyone who didn't agree should probably stop watching WWE and take up bowling instead.
