1. Jericho Continues To Deliver, and AJ Lee Retains Her Title & Screws Ziggler
Just a couple of side notes as we leave MITB 2013 in the rear-view, and first and foremost is the continuing performance of Chris Jericho. With no real big-time payoff to look forward, Jericho continues to perform weekly, and perform very well. His willingness to put-over lower, developing talent should be praised, and in the end he should be rewarded, hopefully before he retires from active competition. If I were in charge, I would have him unify the Championships once again (he was the first undisputed champion!) and then retire the iconic World Heavyweight Championship from competition. Jericho should be the guy to do just that. And AJ Lee retained her title at the MITB PPV, but her bigger issue was that she cost Dolph Ziggler his shot at The World Heavyweight Championship. AJ interfered in Dolph's match with del Rio, and Ziggler was promptly disqualified. AJ was left begging for forgiveness for her mistake, and Ziggler made his way to the back without her. This breakup has been in the works for some time, and soon we should see the full implosion, and possible setup for Ziggler vs. Big E. Langston at SummerSlam. What say you, rasslin' fans?
