WrestleMania 19 - Lesnar Botches Shooting Star Press

Brock Lesnar comes out looking lean and beastly. Kurt Angle is at his evil superhuman best. It seems only fitting that this clash takes place in the cavernous Safeco Field, stacked to the rafters with fans during a high point in WWE history.

Both collegiate superstars known for their intensity, Angle and Lesnar lock up on an already-bloodied mat and engage in a battle of holds and throws. After 20 minutes, both men are drenched in sweat, completely spent, while the stadium is delirious on this ride. After an incredible F5 on Angle, Lesnar shocks the world by taking to the top rope. The ensuing Shooting Star Press would have made headlines on its own, given Brock's decidedly non-aerial repertoire. But Brock landed awkwardly on his head, failing to complete the rotation. He knocked himself out. His being able to somehow cooperate with Angle to finish the match made that Shooting Star Press the stuff of legend, his title win secondary to the story.
