WWE 2K16: 10 Reasons General Manager Mode Should Return

8. It Creates Competition

Most of the enjoyment of the Attitude Era can be attributed to the heated competition between WWE and WCW. Every Monday night was a major happening and viewers had no idea what they'd be missing if they chose one show over the other. With no competition these days, WWE sees this as the chance to coast and not always put their best foot forward when it comes to their programming.

Oddly enough, WWE Universe Mode is no different. Players are simply playing for their own entertainment and not because they're worried about outperforming anyone else, causing the quality of their cards and shows to suffer.

In General Manager Mode, whether you choose Raw or SmackDown, you're constantly checking the ratings to see if you outdid the opposite brand. Granted, the two shows air on different nights, but in the game, WWE acts as if they're in direct competition with each other and are fighting for fans.

This way, you'll constantly be on your toes in an effort to deliver a strong show and not just phone it in because you'll want to boost your viewership as much as possible.
