WWE 2K16: 10 Reasons General Manager Mode Should Return

9. It's More Realistic Than WWE Universe Mode

When it comes to professional wrestling, you can only blur the lines so much, but General Manager Mode acts as if everything you see on TV is real. It's as if the on-air authority figure does more than open Raw every week and deliver 20 minute monologues; they actually have responsibilities.

From managing the contracts of Superstars to engaging in trades with the opposite brand to paying attention to the ratings, players get a small taste of what legitimate general managers from all sports have to deal with.

WWE Universe Mode, on the other hand, comes across as something you'd, well, play in a video game. There are tons of options to choose from, granted, but there isn't any realism at all. And anything that invites pro wrestling to feel even less realistic shouldn't necessarily be celebrated.

The days of general managers in WWE are long gone, but by bringing back GM Mode beyond WWE 2K16, it gives newer fans a feel of what it was like when they were a crucial part of WWE programming.
