WWE 2K16: 10 Reasons General Manager Mode Should Return

6. The Brand Split Is At Its Peak

Fans tend to believe that the current product would be better if the Brand Split was still around. Whether that'd be true or not is debatable, but the Brand Split definitely did add variety to the roster when it was in effect. Or at least it did outside of its final years when it was reduced to nothing.

General Manager Mode brings that magic of the Brand Split back from its lost peak between 2002 and 2005. Along with the annual post-WrestleMania draft, it offers players the option of having their Superstars invade or slander the opposite show, trade talent, compete in inter-promotional matches, and more. The Brand Split may never make a comeback in reality, but at least this extensive mode would allow those who miss it dearly to do it better than WWE did.

Meanwhile, WWE Universe gives you the option of segregating Superstars to different shows, but there's no use if there isn't a big enough talent pool to choose from. Furthermore, the blue brand has been irrelevant for years, so it's pointless to label someone a SmackDown Superstar if the titles can be defended on all shows.
