WWE 2K18: 10 Leading Contenders To Be Cover Star
5. The New Day
In today's WWE, it seems like babyfaces have trouble getting cheered and heels have trouble getting booed. Due to bad usage and characterization of stars, men like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose are all getting tepid reactions from crowds, while bad guys like Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles have an easier time getting the fans behind them.
The New Day are the exception to the rule. Possibly the only full-time babyfaces who routinely get cheered, The New Day have spent the past two years making WWE's programming better. In return, they've been badly underutilized - their record-breaking reign as Tag Team Champions came to an abrupt end, and they'll be hosting WrestleMania instead of having a major match at the event.
Putting The New Day on the cover of WWE 2K18 would recognize that yes, they're good guys, and yes, fans actually like them. While they aren't world champions or headliners, what they have accomplished is nothing to sneeze at, and they'd be a lot better than some of the more likely candidates.
