WWE: 3 Recent Examples That May Prove Me Wrong About Triple H

1. John Cena's Return

John Cena Wwe When it was announced that ADR would be defending his World championship against John Cena at the Hell in a Cell ppv, my heart literally sank. They promised us that he wouldn't be back for months and now not only is he coming back early but his first match will be for a major title. The same thing that has been wrong with the WWE in the past decade. I will shout this out from the rooftops, RAW has been 1000 times better since he has been off tv. We have had his boring arse promos and crappy matches replaced with high octane action involving superstars that haven't had a chance on RAW either for a long time or ever. Let us look at some of the names that have been pushed into the spotlight since his demise. The Uso's, Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro, (hell, the entire Tag Team division), Big E Langston, all of whom will probably be sent back to Superstars in favor of a 20 minute promo on how Cena is great. It is already beginning to happen. As soon as he was announced to return, valuable television spots was taken up even though he wasn't even there on the damn show. In the time they took to talk about his impending return and the various promos they aired to announce this, the WWE could have pushed another star or two. The worst thing is that we already know who he is and that he will eventually return, which means all of that rhetoric could be compressed into 10 seconds of tv time. And lets face it, once he did return it was back to the same ol' s**te. 40 minutes to an hour a week dedicated to all that is Cena. No heel turn either. On top of all of this, him winning the World Heavyweight Championship off Del Rio and the unsuccessful cash in of the Money in the Bank briefcase by Damian Sandow has effectively buried both of those guys and whatever momentum they had in a 24 hour period. That my friends right there is why I once wrote an article as to why Trips (and Cena) is everything that is wrong with pro wrestling today. Because if he truly can't see that which even the little kids that Cena is marketed to are even starting to realize, then he is detrimental to the whole product he is trying to elevate back to the glory days of old. If you are looking for a replacement when John Cena has to finally hang up the boots, you won't find it by allowing his presence to prevent anyone from the lower card to truly shine. I mean, Trips, seriously? Don't let a good roll be de-railed due to some smark like old school mentality that should no longer exist. Hell, I'm as old school as they come but even I know when it is time to move on. I challenge you Hunter, prove me wrong.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
