Owen and Bulldog vs. Legion of Doom, Rocky Maivia vs. Savio Vega and Jesse James vs. Rockabilly Gunn Honky Tonk Mans protégé were all poor. Luckily, Undertaker, Mankind, Hart and Austin save the show. The WWF Championship bout between Undertaker and Mankind was wild and one of the best matches the pair put on. One particularly painful spot saw The Deadman smash the challenger with the steel steps, sending Mankind head first into the commentary table. A Chokeslam and a Tombstone were enough for Taker to retain the belt. The main event was a WrestleMania rematch, with Austin facing Hart once more on PPV. The wrestling was just as good as the famous WM bout, but with the Rattlesnake now taking on the role of the face in the feud. Stone Cold countered the Sharpshooter into one of his own, only for the Hart Foundation to interfere. Bulldog smacked Austin with a chair to end the match with a DQ.
