WWE: 4 Pros & 4 Cons Of Sting Joining In 2014

4. Con - His Age Is Definitely A Factor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0wWzcPxFO8 Sting is 54 years old and will be 55 by the time WrestleMania 30 comes around. Does WWE want to invest a lot of money into a guy that's in his 50s? They might be willing to consider it for a match or two, but long term the value isn't there. When I've watched Sting wrestle in the last couple of years in TNA he has really shown his age. There have been times where he had trouble doing the Scorpion Deathlock (aka Sharpshooter) submission finisher he's been doing for the last 25 years. Sting's also wrestling in a t-shirt these days. That's not that big of a deal when you consider that guys like Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are wrestling on WWE TV doing the same thing. However, it also shows that maybe he realizes he's never going to get into the kind of Sting shape that we know he can be in. None of us can stop age from slowing us down. In Sting's case, it's been a significant factor the last few years and is a big reason why WWE may be afraid to bring him onboard any time soon.
