2. Plenty of Time
The Shield came in a blaze of fire- costing Ryback the WWE Championship at Survivor Series and then dominating such stars as Sheamus, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Randy Orton, the Big Show- hell, even the Undertaker in the course of 5 months or so. That is an incredible list of superstars to run through for any group and would make fans sit up and take notice. The question is, where do you go from there? The WWE answered this partly by giving them all titles, which admittedly gives them all something to do (and defend) but sees them face midcarders rather than main eventers. After all, the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton are hardly going to challenge Dean Ambrose for the US Title are they? The Wyatt Family's push on the other hand is a much more of a slow burn approach. They got their first victory against Kane- a recognised WWE veteran with some cred, but otherwise they have been just mowing through jobbers and relying on their creepy antics to allow themselves to get established on the show. The Wyatt's have time- and they can go about the business in the knowledge that when they're ready they will get their main event push. The Shield on the other hand are stuck with secondary titles and a packed main event glass ceiling that they can no longer be a part of- unlike earlier in the year.
