5. Sin Cara
It's no secret that Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde was hired as the heir to Rey Mysterio's throne and ditched his Mistico character in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). South of the border Mistico was a big deal winning countless titles and tournaments and feuding with the likes of Volador Jr, Heavy Metal and Hector Garza. When he joined WWE as Sin Cara though things didn't seem to go quite so well. With a lack of heel opponents who wrestled a similar style and his own refusal to adapt to the American wrestling style Sin Cara quickly became a bit of a joke often botching moves and ending up on the injured list. More recently Sin Cara had been tag teaming with Mysterio and there were rumours that the two would end up in a match at this year's Wrestlemania. With Mysterio out for the foreseeable future such a match will not be taking place. This should be an indication to WWE that they need to do some serious work and pull the trigger on making Sin Cara the next big masked sensation which was the plan all along. If he can adapt his style somewhat, learn a little English and start winning matches he could easily fill the void left by Rey. All it would take would be one 5 star performance or David and Goliath style contest in which he almost gets the win and the fans would be behind him. At present nobody cares enough about him so there's some real ground work to be put in before any of this can happen.
