1. El Generico
OK, El Generico is about as Mexican as Yokozuna was Japanese but the gimmick he's been portraying for years on the Independent scene has been an absolute sensation and there's no reason why he could not fill the boots of Rey Mysterio if and when he retires from full time competition. Even if the Mexican fans don't take to him El Generico could be the kind of babyface character that WWE is looking for to connect with young fans and as a result make them millions in merchandise sales. Kids love to buy those masks. Currently Generico is assigned to NXT and is wrestling sans mask and under his real name but that doesn't mean WWE wont ask him to slip a hood on his head once again and resurrect his multiple championship winning character for a massive TV audience. For now though we should expect Rey Mysterio to return some time in the next few months but for how long and at what cost?
