WWE: 5 Rarely Seen Gimmick Matches That Should Return In 2014

5. Triple Threat Tag Team Championship TLC

This might seem like a strange choice to include on this list, seeing as we see a TLC match every year now at the annual TLC Special Event, but those aren€™t the TLC matches we€™re longing to see. John Cena vs. Randy Orton, CM Punk vs. Ryback, CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz vs. Jerry Lawler, and The Shield vs. Team Hell No and Ryback in a pinfall to a finish TLC are 5 of the last 6 TLC matches put on by the WWE, and while no disrespect is meant toward those performers or their performances in these matches, which all have some merit (maybe not the Cena/Orton one) these are not the matches we hold synonymous with the phrase Tables, Ladders and Chairs. We all remember the classic Triple Threat Tag Team TLC matches from Summerslam 2000 and Wrestlemania X-Seven, featuring the kings on a then budding Tag Team division. Edge and Christian, Matt and Jeff Hardy, and Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley put on spectacular matches for the ages in the first two TLC matches, cementing their legacies and setting the bar for future iterations of the match. It has been a bar that no one has been able to surpass in over a decade. This year at the yearly TLC special event, the WWE needs to put on a classic Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to make up for the yawn inducing affair to unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships from last year€™s event. They now have teams that can perform admirably in the stead to of The Hardyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian in the style of match, so there are no excuses. Imagine on December 14th, 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio from the Quicken Loans Arena, that WWE puts on a Classic TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championships featuring The Usos, The Wyatt Family (Rowan and Harper), and a re-united Air Boom (Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne). The match would in all likelihood be great, as all three teams bring something different to the bout, much like the original TLC matches. This needs to happen this year.
