WWE: 5 Reasons To BO-lieve Bo Dallas Will Be A Main Event Star

2. Has Overcome Failure After His 2013 Royal Rumble Debut

In 2013, WWE held it's first ever Royal Rumble Fan Fest weekend, and part of the festivities included an NXT tournament where the winner got a spot into the Royal Rumble Match. This was a big opportunity for Bo Dallas as he won that tournament, and made his WWE debut at number 16 in the Royal Rumble match. Dallas made a good showing for himself at the pay-per-view, he lasted about 20 minutes, and eliminated then Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in the process. He was only 23 years old, but the WWE felt he was ready to make an impact on the main roster, and he began to feud with Wade Barrett. Ultimately, the feud never really took off, and Dallas was sent back down to NXT. When he returned to NXT, he was not greeted well by the fans. Dallas at the time was this smiling baby face, but the crowd at Full Sail began booing him with no explantation. It was similar to when The Rock debuted as Rocky Maivia, this all American, clean cut nice guy that the crowd just hated. This is where we began to see the change in Bo's character into the heel he is today. In just a short time, Bo Dallas had to overcome not only his demotion back down to NXT, but he had to quickly adapt to the crowd reaction he was getting there too. Being able to do both, shows that he is a determined star and ready for the main stage.
