WWE: 5 Tag Teams And Factions That Broke Up Too Soon
4. The Hart Dynasty
In November of 2010, The Hart Dynasty officially split up when Tyson Kidd refused to tag his partner David Hart Smith in their match versus the Tag Team Champions The Nexus. At the time I remember thinking about how dumb it was to break up this team that had only been teaming on the main roster for just over a year. Their singles prospects were slim, but as The Hart Dynasty they had something that clicked. They were a perfect mix of power and speed, and just months earlier they were given a big rub by having Bret Hart present them with the new Tag Team Titles. Things went south quickly for this team, and I can't for the life of me understand why breaking them up for the sake of breaking them up was deemed a good idea. At the time of their split, the tag team division was sparse, which made the split even more perplexing. Mark Henry and Yoshi Tatsu had a Tag Team Title shot in that time. Without question I believe the best move would have been to keep the team together and have them feud with The Nexus, alongside John Cena, which would have been another massive rub for the team. It isn't rocket science, when you don't have many credible tag teams in the tag team division, you ride the credible tag teams that you do have, which at that time were The Nexus, The Hart Dynasty, A very young and unready Usos, and Santino and Koslov. As it stands, after their break-up, the two traded victories in a short feud with Tyson Kidd playing the heel and David Hart Smith playing the babyface. Tyson's singles heel run didn't pan out, David Hart Smith didn't see any TV time for months before being released, and the decision to split up The Hart Dynasty will forever go down as a massive lapse in judgment by the WWE's Creative team, as these two were so much more valuable together.
