WWE: 5 Things You Should Know About Dating A Wrestling Fan

1. It's Infectious

There's a reason that the WWE has a fan base that spreads globally. It's because the mixture of athleticism and storytelling is exciting and fun. Sure it might be predetermined, but does that diminish the goosebumps you might get from watching a guy lead the building of thousands in a chant, holding their hearts in the palm of his hand? Does it lessen the heartbreak you feel when watching your favourite hero turn his back on the fans and choose a less righteous path? Does it make watching two big giants throwing bombs in the shape of fists at each other any less awesome? Wrestling being "fake" isn't a detriment; it's a positive. It's great to see a story play out to its logical conclusion, all the while getting to watch people hit each other with ladders. If you ask a room full of WWE fans how they got into it, chances are you'll hear a lot of "My boyfriend/girlfriend is a fan" and they just got caught up in the excitement. Once you learn to stop worrying and love the WWE, chances are you'll find something to like about it too. Look, at the end of the day WWE fans realise that wrestling in essence is silly, but at the same time it's not like their fandom is really harming anybody. Being a WWE fan is part of who they are, and it's not something that ever goes away. So learn to love it, or live with it. Either way, if you just let them have their thing, you'll be fine. Besides, if you're boyfriend or girlfriend is going to have a hobby, they could be into something harder to get used to...like scrapbooking.
