5. The Latino World Order
Like most good and holy things in the world, it all started with Eric Bischoff, Eddy Guerrero (yes it used to be spelled Eddy, look it up), and a cup of coffee. On a historic WCW Monday Nitro that also saw the WCW debut of The Warrior (really, same week!), Eddy Guerrero arrived on the show for a "shoot" interview in which he lambasted Eric Bischoff for not pushing him and his fellow Latino wrestlers, drawing on a real-life fight in which Bischoff allegedly threw a cup of coffee at Eddy. For the next few weeks, Eddy would pretend to be "on strike," lying down for opponents and arguing with his boss. What could he possibly do? If your answer was "nWo Spinoff #651," you were obviously watching Nitro in 1998. And so Eddy would interrupt his countrymen's token trios matches on Nitro and Thunder, distributing T-shirts for the newly-formed Latino World Order. Bischoff had been pitting the Mexicans against one another, and god damn it they weren't going to take it anymore. And Eddy did well in recruiting. Really, look at that picture up there. That's like a who's who of the Thunder undercard right there. Even the mighty Rey Mysterio, Jr.--a longtime holdout--was forced to join after doing the job to Juventud Guerrera.
