The Authority have been ruling WWE with an iron fist since SummerSlam in 2013. It was on that night that Triple H betrayed Daniel Bryan, costing him the WWE Championship. That moment began a storyline that continues now and has seen The Authority abuse their power like no one has since the days of Vince McMahon. So when The Shield is no more, what better way to make the split work for Roman than for him to openly defy The Game? One of the most unique traits about The Shield is that they cannot be intimidated. They cannot be pushed around and they will not back down from any one. This will definitely be the case when Roman goes solo and will put him in direct conflict with The Authority. Triple H relies on The Shield to be there whenever he needs them.
