3. Hulk Hogan and Mr T Vs Roddy Piper and Mr Wonderful - Wrestlemania I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgOMXi95GUU Imagine if Wrestlemania was a new idea. Now imagine if they promoted a main even as horrible as Hogan and T Vs Piper and Orndorff. WWE would have been laughed out of the PPV business for good. Amazingly back in 1985 this horrible main event was enough to keep the masses happy and set in motion almost 30 years of hit and miss wrestling television. The reason this is considered such a poor main event though isn't so much for the action itself but more so because a) it was a tag team main event and b) as the 1st Wrestemania you'd expect the main event to be a world championship match. A much better main event would have been Hogan Vs Piper or even Piper Vs Mr T with Hogan defending the gold elsewhere on the card. By 1985's standards I suppose this wasn't too bad but looking back the first 'Mania main event does not hold up.
