http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNVf9SVFb4o Like most fans we subscribe to the idea that a Wrestlemania main event should not be contested in a match up with a stipulation other than no disqualification/count out. So you can imagine how we feel about the steel cage main event at Wrestlemania 2 featuring Hulk Hogan defending his belt (at last) against the man Gorilla Monsoon dubbed The Human Condominium King Kong Bundy. I always enjoyed Bundy's work, even if he is a poor example of a big man when compared to the likes of Bam Bam Bigelow or even The Big Show but this 10 minute stinker of a match would have struggled to get a better reaction at a house show never mind as the biggest match of the year at the biggest TV even of the year. The ring work was perhaps no sloppier than the following year's but at least Hogan/Andre was a spectacle like no one had ever seen on national television. Bundy Vs Hogan was the steaming pile of turd on top of the toilet that was Wrestlemania 2. Someone needs to flush this one away for good.
