WWE: 5 Worst Performers Added To The Roster In 2013
5. Fandango
Pro Wrestling has always loved characters who have certain skills and jobs. Dr. Isaac Yankem was a dentist, Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese was a garbage man and Fandango is a ballroom dancer. The bad news for Fandango is that neither of those guys was successful. Fandango made his debut on the March 3rd edition of Raw, but refused to participate in his scheduled match against Zack Ryder because in a backstage interview Matt Striker didn't pronounce his name correctly. This awkward trend of refusing matches continued all the way until Wrestlemania where Fandango would finally make his debut on the grandest stage of them all. Fandango defeated former Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho in his debut match and it was certainly the biggest in ring highlight of his year. The next night on Raw the crowd gave Fandango a rapturous ovation, dancing to his theme song and even chanting along with it. WWE tried to capitalize on this but keeping Fandango as a heel was a big mistake and his career began to deteriorate. Fandango hasn't done anything of note since. His gimmick isn't offensive (like some on this list) but it's very one dimensional and the former Johnny Curtis hasn't really had a chance to infuse life into a character that should be fun, but is actually just boring. It's hard to hate Fandango and he is probably the character on this list with the most up side and potential, as he is charismatic and a great in ring performer but for now he remains an annoyance on WWE television.
