WWE: 5 Worst SummerSlam Matches Ever

3. Terri Vs. The Kat: Stink Face Match (2000)

This is the kind of match that quite possibly at the time actually helped the pay per view get some extra buys. That was because at the height of the attitude era the term TNA didn€™t mean Total Nonstop Action. WWE found that they could push the boundaries of sex on TV, and it worked. Jerry Springer and the €˜Too Hot For TV€™ mentality was all the rage, and Vince and his roster of Divas had all the assets to appeal to the teenage and dirty minded older man market. Now whilst it€™s no secret that women€™s wrestling doesn€™t always get the respect it deserves and that more often than not it€™s an excuse to put women in tight fitting clothing on TV, it has to be said that the importance of the Divas being able to wrestle is much improved nowadays compared to what it was in the year 2000. In the year 2000, and this match was a prime example of it, the women had no wrestling ability whatsoever. And despite that this match was never expected to be anything more then what you€™d get on a softcore porn channel, it was a joke the likes of which that made anyone who had defended that wrestling was a legitimate interest to follow hide their heads in shame. Watch the match to see Miss Kitty, the ex-wife of Jerry 'The King' Lawler - whom when she was later fired would lead to the King himself quitting the promotion - demonstrate no wrestling ability whatsoever. She pulls off a body slam which made it look as if she was slamming King Kong Bundy, the worst Irish whip ever committed to film, and yes of course a bronco buster. Yee-haw! Terri is no better, and in actual fact worse in the ring, and Perry Saturn and Al Snow who were relegated to ringside valets must have died a little inside knowing this was their only involvement in the pay per view.
