We are now witnessing an entirely new generation of fans to sports entertainment that were either too young for or were not even born back in the days of the Monday Night Wars and the ECW revolution. For those who may be parents of or know some preteen fans understand that a lot of them are not at all that familiar with now defunct federations WCW, AWA or even the NWA, which is in fact still operating. But they all know about ECW. And why? Because not only did they get to witness the rebirth as young padawans but thanks to the WWE promotion of the brand also got to experience the legendary performers from the original inception. The innovators of old that changed sports entertainment forever and created a new format of wrestling with elements and concepts that are still utilized by the WWE today. The company with its attempt at recreating this iconic era, extensive library and some great DVD retrospectives, all of which has been announced as part of the line up for the new WWE Network, will insure that this new generation will get to experience it all again, much like we did (and you can include WCW to that list as well for the future). And whether that was the WWE's intention or not, the ECW chants will live on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6Aer6NlwAA E.C.Dubya, E.C.Dubya....

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
