James has had a few documented flings. She was at one point engaged to Kenny Dykstra of the Spirit Squad; another time was dating CM Punk. But the most interesting of her romances is one that remains hearsay. That being her infatuation with John Cena. Birthed primarily from various Twitter posts from the aforementioned Dykstra, the rumour goes that in late 2008 James and Cena dated - thus ending her engagement and earning Kenny a transfer to the Smackdown brand. His career stuttered and ultimately he was released. Cena is said to have split with James in 2009 and would marry his high school sweetheart that same year. Ever wonder why WWE dropped the ball so significantly with James after her megapush? Well, Dykstra's story certainly fits the timeline. He attests that, James, unable to cope with the breakup was herself drafted to the Smackdown brand in a company attempt to keep her away from Cena.
