WWE: 6 Reasons Why Lita Deserves Hall Of Fame Induction

1. Professionalism

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odPoVr_Bv_A The sixth and final reason why Lita deserves her spot in the Hall of Fame is something that is becoming a lost art in the business. Professionalism. In this day and age of social media, a lot of people who live in the public eye are acting like complete morons by either shooting their mouth off or by getting themselves into trouble by showing their ignorance. In 2005, Lita made a very poor decision by cheating on her real-life boyfriend Matt Hardy with his best friend Adam Copeland (aka Edge). Had Matt not made this knowledge public, we may have never have even known about the infidelity. But he did. And what wound up happening was it cost him his job and turned millions of fans against Lita in the midst of a heated feud with a heel Trish. It put WWE in a bind to the point where it had to be acknowledged. What Amy Dumas did in her personal life is no one else's business and the WWE turned her personal life into a three-ring circus, pairing her up with Edge on-screen and playing out the entire feud before the eyes of the WWE Universe. Through it all, Lita maintained her composure. While most people would buckle under pressure, quit out of protest, or vehemently refuse to take part in such an angle , she went along with it. This resulted in some of the best moments of her career and helped solidify Edge as a legitimate main event heel. I don't know Amy Dumas personally or professionally, but as someone who has had to work with others I am not particularly fond of, I admire the fact that she was brave enough to even be in the same room with her jaded and furious ex-boyfriend. Lita should also be commended for performing in front of an openly hostile crowd that began berating her with horrible chants that must have upset her. All in all, Lita proved to be a good sport in the face of having her career nearly ruined. It also helped that aside from the Hardy/Edge debacle, Lita's professionalism was greatly evident when working alongside the women of the Diva Search (such as Christy Hemme, Candice Michelle, and Maria Kanellis) and other women who weren't noted for their wrestling ability (like Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, and Trish during the beginning of her career). This, combined with the five other reasons I have mentioned, outlines why Amy Dumas deserves her place in the Hall of Fame as the gravity-defying, risk-taking, trendsetting, trailblazing, "Queen of Extreme" ... LITA.
