WWE: 6 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Shouldn't Have Turned Heel

2. Evolution Isn€™t Over

Pretty much every fan can agree that Batista was an absolute failure upon his return to WWE. Because of hostile crowd reactions he was basically forced to turn heel. After SummerSlam, Hunter wanted to stay in the spotlight, so Evolution was re-assembled. You could tell by the lethargic crowd reaction the first night in that this was going to be a losing battle. For starters, Evolution isn€™t an iconic wrestling stable. They weren€™t ever in the league of the NWO, the 4 Horsemen or DX. It was four guys who were taking up the most TV time when the ratings really started to crumble post-Attitude Era. Most fans either don€™t remember them fondly, or simply weren€™t watching when they were around. The Evolution reunion was also doomed because Orton had already been neutered by The Authority storyline. He's basically been relegated to Hunter and Stephanie€™s lap dog, and not pushed as the dangerous top star he was once was. Batista is older, slower and less cool than before, and Hunter isn€™t as popular as he thinks he is. Breaking up The Shield to keep Evolution going seems like a boneheaded decision that€™s obvious to everyone except for those in management who are actually involved in the storyline. It would be one thing to sacrifice The Shield if Evolution was over, but they just aren't.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
