WWE: 6 Reasons WrestleMania VI Is The Greatest Of Them All

4. The Promos

There's no shortage of them at Mania -- a whopping 14 backstage interviews in all, depending on which version of the show you watch. But the sheer number of promos is not the contributing factor to this show being the best. Rather it's the exceedingly high quality of the interviews. Across the board, every superstar and/or manager does a fantastic job. If someone watches WrestleMania VI without knowing a single thing that was going on the in the Federation at that time, they will easily begin to understand every feud and their respective backstories. Dusty Rhodes and his tag partner Sapphire ridiculed the Macho King, telling him that they had what he was missing in royalty, leaving us to wonder what the "crown jewel" exactly was. Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior, as usual, yelled until they were hoarse, hyping us up for the main event. But most significantly, 2014 Hall of Fame inductee, Jake "The Snake" Roberts delivered one of his finest promos of all time, and possibly when of the best ever. Prior to Mania, Jake had stolen Ted DiBiase's coveted Million Dollar Championship, and during his interview with "Mean" Gene Okerlund, he told DiBiase that he was going to humble him and make the Million Dollar Man beg for his own possession. Never has a card had so many great promos. Promos that simply put, did their job and illustrated why a feud was taking place and what each party planned to do about it.
