WWE: 6 Ways CM Punk's Resignation Could Affect Daniel Bryan

5. Daniel Bryan vs HHH At Wrestlemania 30 Could Happen

Triple H Bryan This was apparently already in discussion for creative before Punk left the company, but there is no doubt that with Punk gone, Daniel Bryan is the most obvious figure to take on the Authority. This has good points and bad points. The good is that is a logical storyline with the potential of a very good match at the end of it. The Authority have screwed Bryan over time and time again and so the idea of Bryan gaining a victory over the Game at Wrestlemania (particularly if he made Triple H tap) would be very cathartic to a lot of the crowd. If they put a good stipulation on the match (like Triple H's position as COO) then it could be a good way to write Triple H off TV before his introductions to RAW with Stephanie become terminally boring. The bad is that for a WWE universe that wanted Bryan to get the title, Triple H is not on the same level. The only opponent that would be good enough for the IWC for Bryan to face now at Wrestlemania is the Undertaker as the Streak has become bigger than the title match. Triple H may still be a big player in the WWE, but he has not had the same impact in the ring that he once did since the Hell in a Cell Match with Taker at Wrestlemania 28. There is also the danger that Triple H/Bryan feud will just see Hunter bury Bryan for 5-6 weeks without giving much back (some would say that's not much different to what is occuring now). The WWE have to see this Wrestlemania as a chance to make Bryan into a bona fide main event superstar. A win over Triple H at Wrestlemania might not be enough.
