4. The 'Yes' Movement May Get Legs
The WWE has had a notorious tin ear on occasions when it comes to popular demand. Some would say that it is because the top management in the WWE see wrestlers as manikins for selling merchandise rather than athletes at the centre of a televised product, being more interested in t-shirt sales than crowd response. However the WWE and creative maybe a bit more willing to listen to the fans in the months to come after what has happened today. There is no doubt that since the Summer of Punk, CM Punk has been amongst the most over wrestlers in the company with amazing crowd reactions wherever he goes. Even when he was a heel, the fans believed in him more than sugary babyfaces like John Cena- who was seen as phony compared to the reality of CM Punk. But the WWE might be spooked enough by this news to actually realise that the audience ultimately tune in to the wrestling rather than the merchandise on offer. Whatever the reasons for Punk walking out on the company, there is no doubt that almost everyone would see his issues with creative as a major factor. One might expect that the WWE becomes more willing to wrestlers like Bryan, Antonio Cesaro, Bray Wyatt and the Shield in bigger places of prominence, instead of the old guard of Cena and Orton.
