WWE: 6 Wrestlers Who Are Unfairly Hated

2. Triple H

Triple H A common reason for the burning hatred of "the evil" Triple H is that he married his way to the WWE Championship. While I can see how some might see it this way, the fact is that Triple H was WWE Champion well before he started even dating Stephanie. In fact, he was already on his way to being a mega star years before he became COO of the WWE. You don't tear the house down with the Rock in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship at one of the biggest PPV's of the year for nothing. After his incredible program with Mick Foley in 2000, the push that arguably made him a top guy, Triple H has since become one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. And it often seems like every year, someone has got a new reason to hate Triple H. It's either the aforementioned, and just plain wrong, assumption that he slept his way to the top or that he buries guys who should be top stars. Since 2001, Triple H has put over John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Shelton Benjamin and a list of others. While it's true that Triple H has gone over some questionable opponents, one can argue that those guys were clearly not in a position yet to become mega stars. When everybody's favorite heel, Dolph Ziggler, was a member of the underrated Spirit Squad stable, he was unceremoniously embarrassed on live tv. He later returned as Dolph Ziggler, former World Heavyweight Champion. Let's also not forget that Triple H lost to the Undertaker two years in a row. If anyone has the stroke to get the Undertaker's streak under his belt, it's Triple H. He didn't. I will not lie, and tell you that Triple H never held someone back to make it to the top, but that also makes him just about every other wrestler on the planet Earth. Triple H is no angel, and I guarantee that he's probably given some welts to the careers of Randy Orton, he's still someone who ultimately cares about this business. He's booking Daniel Bryan to become one of the next top stars. Is he really that bad?
