WWE: 7 Announcers Who Should Replace Jerry Lawler

7. Renee Young

If WWE is interested in making some history, they could move Renee to the announce table. Currently she serves as a backstage interviewer on Raw and Smackdown, but she's also done commentary on NXT for the divas match. She would be the first female to be a full time commentator in WWE. What's interesting about Renee is that she already has a good relationship with Cole and Layfield because they have their YouTube show together, which Renee is a part of. Announcers are at their best when they have a great chemistry. Those three already have it, so it makes a lot of sense. Another reason that Renee could be could be considered for the job is because she would offer a fresher, younger perspective. Fans are used to hearing older men commentating on wrestling matches. Hearing a 28 year old, intelligent woman calling matches would be different and could be more interesting for viewers than hearing another ex-wrestler. While it seems unlikely that Renee will get the spot within the next couple of years, don't be surprised if WWE finds a bigger role for her because she's a star on the rise.
