WWE: 7 Announcers Who Should Replace Jerry Lawler

1. William Regal

william regal The absolute best choice that WWE could make would be to put William Regal on the Raw announce team. He's somebody that has been doing commentary on NXT for several years. While doing commentary he's also been involved in matches with different NXT performers such as Kassius Ohno and Cesaro. Even though he does wrestle occasionally, now that he's in his mid 40s he spends most of his time doing commentary while also helping train the younger wrestlers. Regal is one of the smartest people in wrestling that has over 25 years of experience as a pro wrestler. Not only that, but he's one of the most gifted and underrated talkers in the wrestling business. Remember when WWE made him the commissioner during the Attitude Era? That was a huge role for a guy that was still an active competitor, yet he thrived because of his ability to talk. It would be awesome if Regal was rewarded for his 15 years of employment in WWE by making him a part of the Raw announce team. What's great about Regal is that he could be just as great as a face commentator as he would be if he were a heel. A talented man like him can do it all. You can teach people all you want, but some people just don't have it on commentary. Regal's a guy that fits the role perfectly. Here's hoping that one day soon, William Regal gets to be the next featured commentator on Raw. Nobody deserves it more than him. After all, if you can survive the real man's man gimmick you can do anything.
