WWE: 7 Booking Steps To Make Roman Reigns WWE Champion At WrestleMania 31
3. Survivor Series Win Against Brock Lesnar
It's hard to know what Brock Lesnar's schedule is going to be like this year. He might only wrestle at SummerSlam and then not again until the Royal Rumble in 2015. In 2012 and 2013 he wrestled at Extreme Rules, but this year they may choose to do something different. In this scenario, Lesnar would be brought back for Survivor Series in a showdown with Reigns. If WWE wants fans to believe Reigns can be "the man" then he has to go through the top heels in the company. That means Lesnar. He's not a full time performer anymore, but he's on the roster and is valuable in the sense that he has as much credibility as anybody. Fans would support Reigns in the story while Lesnar, along with Paul Heyman, would point out that it was the biggest match of Roman's life. They would question if he was ready for it. A Reigns/Lesnar showdown would be a physical brawl putting two power guys against each other. Lesnar would be the veteran heel that makes life difficult for the star on the rise while Reigns would show that he refuses to give in to the bully. The winner of the match would be Reigns, of course. You don't book him in a match against Lesnar to lose. You do it to give Reigns that big victory over one of the best heels in the company. Instant credibility.
