WWE: 7 Creative Suggestions That Are Best For Business

7. 3 Hour RAW = 2 Hours Of PG & An Hour Of Attitude

Raw The WWE received a lot of backlash (pun intended) when they decided to extend the length of its flagship show, Monday Night RAW, to an epic 3 hours in length. I initially myself was not a fan as it seemed just too long to bombard the senses with their brand of sports entertainment. Once I learned to pace myself a little, however (with a little help from new pre-recorded features on my provider box), I got used to the inevitable conditioning needed for such an event on a weekly basis. Through personal experience and reports submitted to the Internet, it still seemed rather a burden on the poor young padawans and their parents to experience. So, one day as I was reading yet another smark remark about the Attitude Era when it suddenly dawned on me - why not have the best of both worlds? I mean, if you are truly a responsible adult, your kids should be in bed long before RAW ever finishes on TV (in the United States anyway, where it can go on until 11:30pm at night), so why not cater to the more traditional "male adult" demographic by making the 3rd hour a little more risque with a little more "attitude"? The first two hours can be catered to the kids with your typical John Cena promo (with his match headlining the second hour unless before a PPV), a Santino match, your Hornswaggle appearance and the usual PG era fun that is what a lot of the more cynical "adults" constantly seem to whine about (more than any child usually) nowadays. Then, as the 3rd hour approaches, you remind the parents that "things are about to pick up" and if their children are still watching after the designated ad break, then the WWE just can't be held liable for such undeserving parental stupidity. For within this 3rd hour is where things will get a little M-rated (or U.S./U.K. equivalent). This is when you have your "Extreme Rules" match, your bra and panties match, your more profanity laden promos, and what the film industry might term as "red band hour." Not only does the WWE close down any argument that they don't cater to all wrestling fans both young and old, but could open up a whole new different avenue for advertising that would only add to the revenue stream. Think about it, 2 hours of toy commercials, an hour for all things beer, sports and pizza. Not to mention, it could also placate those whom constantly complain for a return to the era of Attitude that has long since past.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
