5. Eddie Guerrero vs The Rock - WWE Monday Night Raw - July 22nd 2002
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRFp8V--xzM Back in the WWE fresh off his Independent Wrestling renaissance, Eddie Guerrero spent much of mid 2002 feuding with Rob Van Dam over the Intercontinental Championship; a fantastic ladder match on the May 27th edition of Monday Night Raw one of the standout moments of their feud. Not quite the megastar of today The Rock spent most of that year in and out of the WWE trying to further establish himself as an A-List Hollywood Actor. The two would meet on the July 22nd 2002 episode of Monday Night Raw, after Eddie issued a challenge to the Great One for the Undisputed WWE Championship. With no real previous interaction the setup was slightly out of the blue not that you would ever need an excuse to put two of the companys most talented performers together in the ring. In a short but sweet outing the Wrestling family prodigies would trade hold for hold in front of a molten hot Michigan crowd who hung on their every move. In the end the Rock would prove victorious with the People Elbow. This was one of Eddies first forays into the WWE main event scene, as if there was any doubt this match would be where he proved that he belonged right up there with the biggest stars in the industry. Soon after the Rock would drop the WWE Undisputed Championship to the Next Big Thing Brock Lesnar and leave for Hollywood. This would unfortunately prove to be the first and last time Eddie Guerrero and The Rock would square of one on one.
