WWE: 7 Memorable Heel Victories At WrestleMania

7. WrestleMania 19 - Triple H Defeats Booker T

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGsHZqdMk2s This was one of those heel wins that angered a lot of people back in 2003 and still does to this day. Triple H was a dominant World Champion that was going up against a popular babyface in Booker T. It wasn't the real main event of WrestleMania that year because matches like Hogan/McMahon, Austin/Rock and Angle/Lesnar got more attention, with good reason. However, people were expecting a World Title change. It didn't happen. Hunter won. He worked over Booker's knee the whole match and after Booker failed to win after a Harlem Hangover (Flair put Hunter's foot on the ropes), Hunter was able to win clean with the Pedigree. Booker did an awesome job selling the knee injury the whole match, leaving it all in the ring and coming off looking like a tough bastard. Hunter did okay, but he was in a bit of a dry spot in his career as far as having good matches went. There was a lot of internet hate on Hunter after this one because it would have been a big deal for Booker to go over him. It didn't happen because they wanted Triple H to have a long run as World Champion before he dropped it to Goldberg since he was debuting in WWE the next night. Hunter did put over some babyfaces at WrestleMania like Chris Benoit, Batista and John Cena, but he was able to get heel victories too. This wasn't the first time he retained a major title as a heel either.
