WWE: 7 Possible Plot Twists For Elimination Chamber 2014

6. CM Punk Returns

When CM Punk walked out on WWE, he stirred the hornet's nest among fans. A good number of those fans are furious, irate over the company's apparent lack of direction for one of its top Superstars. After all, Punk has been at the forefront of the company since the infamous pipebomb of 2011 when he complained about the state of the company. During the past two and a half years, Punk had become a true workhorse in WWE. He faced every challenge that came his way and more than impressed in matches with Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and The Shield. His performance against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 is regarded as one of the best in his career and perhaps one of the best in Mania history. And his record breaking 434 day WWE title reign saw him become the most hated yet most entertaining heel in the industry. Punk definitely did his part to contribute to WWE's overall success. So when he supposedly left because he did not want to face Triple H at WrestleMania 30, his supporters were of course on his side. But the truth is that perhaps they shouldn't have been. Punk's contract is apparently up in July of this year and The Best in the World is reportedly not interested in resigning with the company. With that being the case, why would he not want to do the right thing for business and do the job on his way out the door? Were fans expecting him to win the WWE World Championship at Mania, only to leave three months later? Did they truly believe he should have an epic showing on the grandest stage of them all in April, only to then leave in July? Despite what the fans believed should happen with Punk, the truth is that anything can change at anytime in WWE. Could we see the Second City Saint return at the Elimination Chamber? Could he possibly attack Batista after The Animal's match against Alberto Del Rio? Part of the speculation surrounding Punk's departure is that he was unhappy with Batista's WrestleMania booking, could he return at the Chamber to make that known to the world? The fact is that despite what the truth is in regards to CM Punk, this controversy could very well play out as one of the more interesting angles in WWE.
