1. He Will Have Three More WWE Title Reigns

By the time John Cena retires don't be surprised if WWE pushes the idea that he is the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. You don't have to agree with it and with all due to respect I certainly don't, but in terms of his longevity at the top of the card it's an arguable point. Then there are the major title reigns. Ric Flair is recognized as a 16 time World Champion, which is considered the most in wrestling. Most of those reigns were in NWA/WCW, but he was a WWE Champion too. There are some that say he's a 20 or 21 time World Champion too. Since 16 is the recognized number that they say all the time that's what we'll go with. Right now Cena's sitting at 14 combined WWE/World Title reigns. He obviously benefited from working in an era with two major WWE/World Titles from 2002 to 2013, so that helped his total just like it did for others like Randy Orton, Edge and Batista. With two titles around, more people could call themselves a World Champion. Cena likely would have about half as many title reigns if there was only one major title. Since Cena is so close to Flair right now and he's got another five years or so where he'll likely be a full timer, we can expect Cena to pass Flair at one point. Maybe he doesn't want to because he's a humble guy, but if WWE was smart they would do it. It would be their way of saying we built this guy from our development system to where he is now as the all time greatest WWE Champion of all time. Whether fans agree or not is irrelevant. What matters is that if he gets 17 major title reigns in WWE that's a point that they are going to drive home heavily and they should. John Cena's at the point in his career where his legacy should be discussed as well as respected. He's one of the best performers of all time whether people like him or not.
