WWE: 7 Reasons To Be Excited (And Nervous) Over Daniel Bryan's Heel Turn

Most of us had a moment of disbelief when Raw went off the air a couple of weeks back, questions were asked like, Why was this happening? And Who the heck are we gonna chant for now? There was a sense that people genuinely felt sadness. That being said, when Bryan debuted with the Wyatt's more recently, the fans still chanted. It seems like he'll always be loved. While there's been a lot of talk about a John Cena heel turn, and whether he'll do something like join The Shield in 2014, even the tease of a Daniel Bryan heel turn over a week ago felt genuinely unsettling for a large portion of the WWE Universe. With dissension within the Wyatt ranks already being teased on this past week's Old-School Raw, it could be that this story line is a bust already. However, it was cool to see Bryan with his new look, and immediately integrated into the family €“ with Bray and Bryan teaming together soon, it's going to be exciting to see how this develops. Let's take a look at some reasons that this story could work out for the best...and the worst.

Reasons To Be Excited...

7. People Genuinely Care About Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan Daniel Bryan has been through the bloody mill a bit over the last year - he's worked damn hard to build his reputation, and he's had little to show for it in terms of gold and PPV main events. Whichever way you trim your face fuzz, this angle is going to be interesting to watch unfold over the coming weeks and months. For me, either Bryan really is "home" and joins the Wyatts full-time and is controlled by Bray's mind-games and helps The Wyatts to rise as one of the strongest factions in recent memory, or he plays a long game with The Wyatts from the inside, using them to beat back The Authority, The Shield and any more contenders before taking a main event slot at Wrestlemania (it might be for the title, or maybe against Shawn Michaels or Triple H). But that's a ways off right now. Or, I suppose he could just change his mind, and "find himself" again following inspiration from the likes of Punk and Cena, but I would find that tedious, personally. There are a few reasons that Bryan fans should relish this storyline - it means A) More Bryan on your tellybox , B) It'll make us all excited and think too much about whether he never became a steady main eventer because The Authority really think he's "a B+ player..." and no better (thus giving us as longterm fans all the more reason to chant, "Yes!" from the outside looking in), or indeed if they're working a much bigger deal from inside the company and C) intentionally providing a character and wrestler that they know we're always going to support and push, regardless of what we (as fans) think we understand about what goes on behind the scenes of World Wrestling Entertainment.
