WWE: 7 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Joining Evolution Is Best For Business

4. Nobody Expected Rollins To Be The One Who Defected

Everyone loves a shock when it comes to the WWE. A split between The Shield had been discussed for months and months - way back to last Summer in fact, when Roman Reigns was starting to garner a lot of attention. However, with a lot of people believing that the psychotic Dean Ambrose - perhaps the one who is the worst fit as a babyface - would be the one who caused the split, this came as an absolutely colossal swerve. Nobody thought Seth Rollins - a guy who has had prolonged success as a babyface in NXT - would turn heel and defect, and it will be interesting to see how he can perform as a monster heel. Sure, The Shield were heel characters when they first burst onto the scene, but now they are amongst the top stars in the company. Rollins as a huge heel will be an interesting one to watch pan out.
